One of the stars at the recent Microsoft Build Developer Conference, Nokia Lumia 630 launch event in Malaysia has been scheduled on 20 May according to the press invite (shown above) that has just landed in our inbox. While the invite didn’t mention the device’s actual name out right, one can easily identify the device as Lumia 630 since it doesn’t come with a flash alongside its rear camera.
As you can recall, the Lumia 630 is one of the first smartphone to come pre-installed with the new Lumia Cyan update which features Windows Phone 8.1. It also features a 4.5-inch 854×480 ClearBlack IPS display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5-megapixels rear camera, and 1830mAh battery.
As indicated by SIRIM’s database, the Lumia 630 variant that will be made available in Malaysia is most probably the dual-SIM model. During the original announcement at Build 2014, the Lumia 630 Dual is said to cost USD 169 which is around RM 546 but expect that to change once it is released in Malaysia very soon.
