Long before Blizzard became famous for the current batch of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo games, it made some other less memorable titles. One of these games, Blackthorne was released for free some time ago; and now two more titles join it in the Battle.net classic games download section.
The Lost Vikings is a sidescrolling platformer that allows the the player to switch between three Vikings: Erik the Swift, Olaf the Stout and Baleog the Fierce. Naturally, each of these Vikings has different abilities that can be used to complete levels and solve puzzles. The three protagonists of the game have also appeared as NPCs in World of Warcraft; as lost dwarves in the badlands.
Blizzard’s Rock ‘n Roll Racing was famous for using some of the best rock music from the time. Sure there was a racing game there, but it didn’t quite matter as much. Sadly, reports indicate that the free download on Battle.net is the demo version with limited circuits and none of the music that made the game popular.
