Now that Sony SmartBand is finally available in Malaysia, Sony has also released its Lifelog app into the Google Play Store, allowing any compatible Android users to download the app to use with life-logging accessory. Compatible with any device running on Android 4.4 KitKat and above, the Lifelog app is designed to track your life from your physical activities to everything you do on your smartphone be it walking, sleeping, taking pictures, making calls and more.
While the Lifelog app is designed to be used with the company’s very own SmartBand, if you do not have the accessory, you can still use the app to log other your other activities. With Lifelog turned on, the app can track the things you do on your phone throughout the day like the pictures you take, songs you listen to, movies you watch, how long you spent playing games and the hours you spent on the browser; it can also track your passive calories burned in a day.
As advertise, at the end of the day, you can scroll back on the timeline and watch your activity throughout the day. The app also tracks all the distance you’ve travelled and display them on Google Maps though, I must say, it isn’t very accurate. According to the app, I flew through several housing areas just to get to work this morning.
Download the app on the Play Store now to check it out for yourself. Meanwhile, the Sony SmartBand is available for purchase from Sony Malaysia for a retail price of RM399 – Sony Core and a black color Wrist Strap, additional wrist strap (available in 9 colors) can be purchased for RM139.
