Calling all iOS users, if you’re using an iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S and iPhone 4, or the recent iPad and iPod touch models, it’s time to give your device an update. Apple just released an iOS 7.1.1 update that comes with bug fixes and more.
To update, just visit General under the Settings app, and tap on “Software Update”. The update should be a pretty small file (26MB on my iPhone 5S), and should be available immediately. According to the change log, the changes includes:
Better Touch ID fingerprint recognition (let’s keep our fingers crossed that it will actually improve things, it usually takes me about 2 attempts to unlock my phone with this)
- Fixes a bug that could impact keyboard responsiveness
- Fixes an issue when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled
- The update is available for iPhone 4 and above, iPad 2 and above, and fifth-generation iPod touch, via an over the air update or via iTunes when connected to your computer.
