It seems like the latest trend for smartphones is to have an extra high resolution screen with people like Oppo showing off the Find 7 last month in Beijing. Not to be outdone, LG has just confirmed that the successor to the G2 will deliver what they are calling a “Quad HD” resolution not to be confused with 4K.
In LG terms, they are saying that their screen will have 4 times the resolution of a 720p display at 2560 x 1440 on a 5.5Inch display resulting in a pixel density of 530PPI. If the Find 7 is anything to go by, the display will be one to behold. We all remember how we loved the retina display from Apple.
No exact availability or price has been mentioned by LG but if its a Flagship, we can only estimate around the RM2,199 – RM2,399 ballpark.
What do you think? Is a 2k screen REALLY worth getting or is it another gimmick to boost marketing pamphlets?
