It was launched in Beijing last month but somehow, the new Oppo Find 7 has yet to be made available for general consumers. Even in its native market of China, Oppo has only released the 1080p version of the device which is called the Find 7a.
It seems there is one exception though. Somehow, Oppo has decided to release the new Find 7 in Philippines today – ahead of any markets throughout the world.
According to the news that we’ve received from Philippines, the Find 7 that has been launched in country is the model with 2560×1440 display. It will be released to the general public from tomorrow onwards through authorized Oppo Philippines retailers for PHP 25,990 (RM 1,889).
As for our own market, we have yet to hear any information from Oppo at the time being regarding the release of Find 7 or Find 7a in Malaysia. We’ll keep you updated once the time comes but for now, do check out our first hands-on experience with the Oppo Find 7 during its launch event in Beijing.
UPDATE (418PM, 11 April): It turns out that YugaTech might have jumped the gun and didn’t check the facts with Oppo Philippines when they published the news yesterday. While the pricing of Find 7 above is correct and Oppo Philippines did indeed launched Find 7 last night, the device is not available for the market just year. Instead, just like any other market in the world, Find 7a will be made available first for PHP 22,900 (RM 1,679). YugaTech has since amended the news.
