Pokemons! They’re not just a cartoon for children, they are real life characters who have just invaded Earth and you have to find and capture them all. Google has just released a Pokemon Challenge onto its Google Maps, giving you the power to see and locate these little creatures, and you, as a Pokemon Master, have to find and capture them all to fill up your Pokedex, and you might stand a chance to work at Google as a Pokemon Master on 1 September 2014.
Simply open up the latest Google Maps on your Android or iOS device, hit the search bar, and tap the “Press Start” button right below. Google will redirect you to a Map filled with Pokemon characters, and you have to travel around to capture them. Follow Google Maps on Google+, Facebook and Twitter for hints and tips on where to find these characters. Check out the video below for more details about the challenge.
Unfortunately for us Malaysians, these Pokemon characters have only invaded more popular cities, namely Tokyo, Japan and New York City, USA, but if this was a real feature for Google Maps worldwide, wouldn’t it be a cool thing to have? Nonetheless, if you happen to be in those cities today, or know some friends who are residing there, tell them to have fun trying to capture Pokemons.
Update: I just saw a Pokemon along Federal Highway!
