U Mobile has recently unveiled a U Care Plus insurance program for your device that covers water and accidental damages and more, from only RM8/month.
U Mobile’s U Care Plus 8 features a comprehensive protection plan for your device, including:
- Free pick-up and delivery service
- Coverage for water damage*
- Coverage for accidental damage*
- Maximum 60 days worldwide coverage
- Replacement provided for device that is beyond repair*
- Protection for new or existing device up to 10 months
*Cover capped at a maximum of RM1,000
U Care Plus 8 is available for all new and existing postpaid subscribers, and is applicable for new and existing devices purchased from both U Mobile and even third party companies. You can opt for a monthly payment of RM8/month, or for RM88/year however, when you make a claim, you will need to pay an excess fee of RM50 for new devices or RM75 for devices up to 10 months old – a one time amount payable by the subscriber upon a claim when it is approved.

- Chemical clean of motherboard
- Device cannot be turned on
- RF network problems
On top of providing your device a protection of up to RM1,000, U Care Plus 8 also comes with Personal Accident coverage, giving the phone owner an insured sum of RM2,000; this is free for U Care Plus 8 subscribers.
