Kotaku has leaked screenshots of what it claims to be the next Assassin’s Creed. Code named Unity, the game will apparently be set in 18th century Europe; with the images showing the new assassin roaming around Paris.
The story claims that these images are leaked from one of the two Assassin’s Creed games due out later this year. Unity will be released for the Xbox One and PS4, while a second unnamed game will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
It won’t be surprising if Ubisoft does decide to make different games for the two generations of consoles still running in the wild. It may result in better games as the development teams won’t have to constrain themselves to get the game to match both sets of hardware.
However, the company has released a lot of Assassin’s Creed games in the last few months with Black Flag, Pirates, HD remake of Liberation, and a board game. Maybe Ubisoft should slow it down a little before games begin to suffer from assassin’s fatigue.
