If you ask me, one of the feature that I wished Microsoft has included into Surface tablets is a built-in wireless internet broadband connectivity. Without a wireless mobile Internet, it restricts the mobility of Surface tablets. However, that has changed recently though since the company has officially announced the LTE version of its Surface 2 tablet.
Available with 64GB worth of internal storage, the new Surface 2 LTE looks exactly identical to the existing Surface 2 tablet. The only major difference between them is that the Surface 2 LTE features a SIM card slot. However, the new Surface 2 LTE is currently exclusive to only AT&T in United States. For now, it is not officially known whether Microsoft will be releasing a LTE version of Surface Pro 2 as well.
If you wondering about its price tag, the Surface 2 LTE is priced at USD 679 (RM 2226) which is an additional of USD 130 on top of the standard 64GB Surface 2’s price in US or an additional of RM 520 as compared to the standard 64GB Surface 2’s price in Malaysia.
