It’s a bold decision by Microsoft and definitely a good one for consumers as the company has announced that its note-taking software, the Microsoft OneNote is now available for free. By free, the company didn’t mean the trial or even an ad-supported version.
That’s right: Microsoft is really giving away the full version of OneNote for free to everyone.
Prior to this announcement, the OneNote 2013 is available as part of Microsoft Office suite which generally means that users need to pay for it. Alternatively, users are also able obtain it separately for RM 279.
Microsoft also took the opportunity to announce that OneNote is now available for Mac OS as well. It is the latest operating system to be supported by the software which has been made available for Windows, Windows Phone, Android, iOS, and web (through Office Online). As you might be able to guess, the OneNote for Mac is also free of charge.
