Google Translate may not be the most accurate translator out there, in fact, many have used Google Translate to come out with pretty funny translations and is even possibly the main cause of many funny (and sometimes offensive) translations, but let’s not deny it, Google Translate is definitely one of the best translation service in the market. It’s free, it’s supported on almost all platforms, it’s there to help us translate stuffs when we need it the most, it’s there to help us communicate a little better in a foreign land and it looks like the Android version has just gotten a lot better with handwriting recognition support for 13 more languages.
Google has just released a new update to its Translate app fr Android device that on top of the usual bug fixes and such, it also comes with handwriting recognition for more languages like Arabic, Bosnian, Cebuano, Gujarati, Hmong, Kannada, Maltese, Mongolian, Persian, Punjabi, Somali, Tamil and Telgu. To date, the Android app is able to translate between 80 languages and on top of the normal text and handwriting input, it also allow users to take a picture to translate for you know, when you can’t copy-paste the text to translate.
