WOOX Innovation has announced the Malaysian release of the Philips Fidelio Soundbar HTL9100 which features detachable wireless speakers. The idea is that this will allow it to switch between virtual surround sound and a 5.1 channel system.
According to the WOOX Innovations Malaysia, Business Leader, Andrew Tan, the Fidelio SoundBar is the first of its kind to feature wireless detachable speakers. The exploded configuration of the Fidelio HTL9100 features two 1-inch tweeters and four 2.5-inch midrange drivers. These communicate with the main unit via 5.8GHz signal to avoid interference from Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signals.
Although they run on rechargeable batteries that last up to 10 hours before returning to the main bar to be recharged. Which means that there is no option to just leave the speakers where they are; and that long movie marathons are confined to just the soundbar configuration.
Every unit of HTL9100 purchased from Harvey Norman outlets during the IPC Atrium Roadshow from 12 – 16 March will entitle the buyer to purchase a Philips HMP8100 media player at RM99, as well as receive a RM200 discount voucher.
The Philips Fidelio Soundbar HTL9100 retails for RM2,999 and is available at all major retail outlets.
