Lenovo Malaysia has just announced the arrival of its latest flagship Android smartphone, the Vibe Z. Featuring top tier specs such as a 5.5-inch Full HD display and powered by Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset, this is one of the most value-for-money propositions for those looking for a premium Android smartphone.
The Lenovo Vibe Z is the latest in an increasingly exciting line of premium smartphones from China. Fresh from the launch of the selfie-centric Vibe X just two months ago, the Vibe Z is set to really challenge the premium segment of Android smartphones in Malaysia. For the first time, Lenovo has ditched the use of MediaTek processors in favour of a Qualcomm 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM – a favourite among premium Android smartphones.
In addition, there’s a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, and 16GB of storage. The Vibe Z will also run on Android 4.3, with Lenovo’s own UI skin on top. In addition, there’s plenty of pre-installed software on the Vibe Z, including SECUREit, SHAREit, SYNCit and many more.
The Lenovo Vibe Z will be available in two colours (Silver and Titanium) from April 15 at all Lenovo retail stores in Malaysia at a retail price of RM1799. However, those looking to grab a unit on the cheap should look out for Celcom’s offer for the Vibe Z. Celcom will be the only telco to offer the Vibe Z exclusively as part of its postpaid bundles.
The Lenovo Vibe Z will be available exclusively with Celcom First from March 15 onwards, with the mPro and mPro Plus postpaid plans. You can purchase the Vibe Z for as low as RM988 on a 24-month contract with 5GB of data. On top of that, Celcom will also be offering the Vibe Z for only RM688 as well as a free RM50 shopping voucher for the first 30 customers to register for the Celcom First + mPro or mPro Plus plans at Celcom’s Blue Cube outlet at Sunway Iconic.
