Dual USB drives seems to be a trend now, not too long ago, SanDisk announced its Ultra Dual USB Drive that comes with two USB ports – a regular USB 2.0 at one end and a microUSB port at the other end, specially designed for easy transfer of content between Android devices and computers, and now it’s Kingston’s turn to announce a similar USB flash drive – the DataTraveler microDuo that allow consumers to expand the storage of their Android tablets and smartphones.
On top of expanding the storage on your Android gadget, the microDuo can also allow users to easily and quickly transfer data between different compatible devices, including with USB On-The-Go. You know those 4K videos that are enabled on most phones now (Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and the upcoming Sony Xperia Z2 and Galaxy S5), imagine being able to capture a video and easily transfer them around.
“DT microDuo is a great companion device to mobile phones or tablets as it lets users back up files on the go thus freeing up space, or share files between devices with ease. Its sleek design has a built-in key loop and rotating cap, so it is small in size and big on storage. Travelers can take entire libraries of music or videos with them on trips without worrying about filling up the memory on their own device.” – Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston.
