The world was shocked when Nokia reveals the 41-megapixels camera sensor for its 808 PureView smartphone at Mobile World Congress in 2012. In 2013, Nokia came with another 41-megapixels PureView smartphone camera in the form of Nokia Lumia 1020.
In general, you can’t find any other smartphone with higher amount of megapixels apart from these two Nokia devices. However, Nokia’s achievement might be surpassed by Oppo soon if the information behind this particular image sample holds true.
According to the EXIF information of this image, it was apparently shot by Oppo Find 7 which will be launched by the China-based company later this month. With a file size of around 9.7 MB, the fully expanded version of this image measures at 8160×6120 which is equivalent to around 50 megapixels.
EXIF information of the leaked Oppo Find 7 image sample.
Previously, Oppo has revealed that the Find 7 will be equipped with a 5.5-inch display that has a 2560×1440 resolution and a pixel density of 538ppi. Add the 50-megapixels camera into the picture, the Oppo Find 7 is truly a high-end smartphone.
Then again, all these high-end hardware mean nothing if the device not able to utilize them properly. So, let’s see how good the finalized version of Oppo Find 7 will be once it is revealed to the world on 19 March.
