Nokia continues to feed the low budget market with the Nokia 220. The feature phone is touted as the lowest budget internet capable phone. At EUR29, it might actually live up to that claim. The device itself is a 2.4-inch display with a dust and splash proof keypad, and the kind of look we have come to expect from Nokia. It is preloaded with both Facebook and Twitter apps, and has Bing set as the default search engine in the Nokia Xpress web browser.
Of course, this comes at the price of the data connection capping out at 2G. Although that will not likely be a concern for the target market for this phone.
The Nokia 220 is available in both single and dual SIM configurations; and is currently rolling-out in Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
