Fresh out Sony Mobile’s event in MWC 2014, the Japanese company has just announced the device we’ve all been waiting for – the Sony Xperia Z2. It looks like all the leaks we’ve been seeing have all been pretty accurate, the Z2 comes with a 5.2” Full HD Triluminios Display on a similar dimension as last year’s flagship.
Like its predecessor, the Z2 comes with a waterproof, OmniBalance design, fitting in a larger screen without making the phone wider. Camera wise, the 20.7MP camera on the Xperia Z2 can now capture videos in 4K resolution. Sony also added new stuffs to the camera app, including 120fps slow motion mode (720p), and Augmented Reality…in video!

As for the hardware, Sony has brought noise cancelling technology to its new flagship, making it the world’s first Digital Noise Cancelling Technology2 in a smartphone for an immersive audio experience. You’ll need a headphone to fully enjoy the new feature, but Sony says it’ll come bundled in the box so no worries.

And down to the usual stuffs, the Xperia Z2 is powered by the latest 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM on board. Other specs include 3,200mAh battery, IP55 & IP58 dust-resistance and waterproof, 20.7MP rear camera with all the features we mentioned before, and a whole collection of other apps including Wikitude Places, Evernote, VI Sports and more.
