Now that we’ve seen and heard a lot about the upcoming flagship smartphone from HTC codenamed M8, when will the Taiwanese company officially take the curtains off its mysterious device? According to an invitation sent out by the company, 25 March 2014 is the date you should look forward to. The event will be held simultaneously in London and in New York, whereby HTC will launch its “primary flagship for 2014”.
No further details have been given but according to the consistent rumors we’ve been reading about as of late, the HTC M8 should come with a 5” full HD display, an improved Snapdragon 800 processor on board with 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU, 16GB of internal storage with twin camera at the back and one at the front. The dual cameras have been rumored to be used to capture more details in a picture such as depth. The actual name of the device is still unknown, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that it will not be called the HTC One 2 or “The All New One”.
Aside from the flagship smartphone, HTC has confirmed that they will make more affordable devices this year to help its business, so let’s hope the Taiwanese company will indeed have an optimistic year ahead.
