Looks like Malaysia is set to welcome another smartphone player. Unsurprisingly, it is another Chinese smartphone manufacturer. After Huawei and Lenovo making their name here in the Malaysian mobile industry, Oppo is set to mark its official arrival into Malaysia next week – and it’s bringing along quite an interesting smartphone to kick things off.
Oppo will be launching its highly interesting smartphone, the Oppo N1, in Malaysia next week. According to the media invitation, Oppo Electronics CEO William Fang will also be present to announce the company’s products. For now, it is only confirmed that the N1 will be launched here, while the company’s other products, such as the Find 5 – one of the world’s first 5-inch Full HD smartphones – may also make an appearance next week.
The Oppo N1 is the world’s first rotating camera smartphone announced in September last year, featuring a 13MP camera sensor that can be swivelled from the back to the front of the device. The sensor itself is a f2.0 13MP sensor with six-element lens. Apart from that, the N1 is a top-tier phablet with a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.
