Not content with having an entire OS, Mozilla have unveiled its very own launcher for the android OS. This launcher revolves mainly around their mobile browser and we can’t determine much from the released teaser of a screenshot but reports say that its just a rebranded version of the EverythingMe launcher that was just released. Just like the EverythingMe launcher, it will use contextual data to give users access to relevant apps based on things like patterns and locations.
In all honesty, I don’t see this picking up much steam in an ever growing segment of the market, the custom launchers and even the adaptive ones are growing rapidly in number. Also if Google Now is anything to go by, I’m not confident with the capability of my phone to determine my usage patterns, not yet anyway. Give me a Nova Launcher or even rooted Cyanogen any day.
The Firefox launcher will probably have a beta version ready in the next couple of weeks.
What do you think? Hit or miss?
