The Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest event in the global mobile industry and plenty of big names tend to make an appearance over there. For this year’s edition, one of the first company that has already committed to appear at MWC 2014 is Nokia.
According to the press invite, Nokia’s MWC 2014 press conference will take place on Monday, 24 February at 830 to 930am Barcelona’s time. That translate to around 330pm Malaysian time. Given past experiences, it is highly possible that company will broadcast the event via the web.
Back in MWC 2013, Nokia launched four devices in total including Lumia 720 and 520 as well as Nokia 301 and 105. So, what to expect this time around?
Of course, the leading candidate is the Nokia Normandy Android smartphone which we have just discussed extensively earlier today. Pocket-lint has pointed out that a new flagship Lumia device might be announced there called Lumia 1820 alongside a smaller version of Lumia 1520 called 1520V as well as Lumia 1525 phablet.
Sounds mouth watering indeed but apart from Normandy, the sources for other devices mentions above were not exactly strong. Nevertheless, we should be hearing more from Nokia and plenty of other manufacturers as we get nearer to MWC 2014. So, stay tuned.
