Yesterday, we reported that Microsoft Malaysia has kicked off a campaign called Work Wonders that offers free gift for users that purchases Office 365 alongside selected Windows 8.1 tablets. Guess what: among the tablets that are listed on the campaign’s official website is the yet-to-be launched Joi 10 Flip tablet which is the bigger brother of the highly successful Joi 8 tablet from SNS Network.
Truth to be told, it has been known for quite some time that SNS Network has planned to release a 10-inch Windows 8.1-based tablet following the release of Joi 8 into our market few months ago. Apart from Work Wonders official website, its existence is also confirmed via a teaser image (shown below) in the Nov/Dec sales catalogue for GLOO which is SNS Network’s own online store and retail outlets.
Nevertheless, it is good to see that the Joi 10 Flip is not just a bigger version of Joi 8. Instead, SNS Network has choose to utilize the 2-in-1 convertible form factor for Joi 10 Flip which features a detachable QWERTY keyboard called FlexiCover. Not only that, the product image on Microsoft Malaysia’s Work Wonders campaign shown that the tablet with its keyboard attached can be positioned similar to Lenovo Yoga’s stand mode.
According to the Work Wonders official website, the Joi 10 Flip is equipped with 10.1-inch IPS display as well as the 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735D quad-core processor which is part of the Intel Bay Trail family of processors. Additionally, it also comes with 2GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, Windows 8.1 with Bing, and Office 365 Personal subscription.
Not to forget, a price tag of RM 999 inclusive of the FlexiCover. At this moment, we have no knowledge of its exact release date to consumers but it shouldn’t be that far away since it is part of Microsoft Malaysia’s Work Wonders campaign after all.
