We recently reported that the Honor 3C Lite would be landing here soon with little information on the device’s specifications, but that can now be confirmed as the device has just been featured on Huawei’s Vmall.my sales portal. By the looks of it, this could be one of the best equipped budget Android smartphones out there.
The Honor 3C Lite does indeed share some similarities with the 3C Play as predicted by our earlier coverage. The 3C Lite, much like the 3C Play, will be powered by a MediaTek MT6582 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and a 5-inch 720p display. However, instead of a meagre 4GB of internal storage found on the 3C Play, the 3C Lite will have 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded with a microSD card of up to 32GB.
The other specifications are what you’d expect from an entry-level phone. The 3C Lite will have a 8MP F2.0 aperture rear camera and 2MP front camera, 2000mAh battery, dual-SIM support, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Interestingly, Honor Malaysia states that the 3C Lite can last up to 24 hours on moderate usage and 48 hours on light usage thanks to something called Huawei SmartPower 2.0. Then again, this is coming from the same company that says its flagship Honor 6 has “17 days of standby time on LTE”.
Pricing of the Honor 3C Lite has not been released yet, and same goes for the availability. We’d expect it to be released soon though, so keep an eye out for what could potentially be a “budget smartphone killer.”
