Can’t wait for HTC to finally introduce a HTC One (M8) with the 13MP dual camera you’ve always wanted? The HTC One (M8 Eye) is yet to be announced by the Taiwanese company but it looks like product shots have already been posted online.
HTC is expected to host an event next week, 8 October 2014, whereby the company is set to announce some sort of action camera and it is believed that that they will take the curtains off the HTC One (M8 Eye) too.
From the image above, the HTC One (M8 Eye) will look identical with the HTC One (M8) except that instead of a 4MP Ultrapixel camera, HTC will be using a 13MP sensor. Everything including a secondary camera at the back will function just like the existing device.
It was previously believed that the HTC One (M8 Eye) will have pretty much identical specs as the One (M8) but with a slightly larger display of 5.2” but according to the latest leaks, it looks like the screen size will remain at a modest 5” size. Other specs include Snapdragon 801, 1080p display and Android 4.4.4 with HTC Sense UI on board.
Will HTC launch another flagship device just right after launching the HTC Butterfly 2 that also has a 13MP Duo Camera setup? Maybe, as noted by GSMArena, the HTC One X+ was launched two years ago and it addresses the shortcomings of the original One X, so this could fix the Ultrapixel camera that many are complaining about.
