Building on the foundation that was laid down the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro Gold Edition gaming notebook, MSI Malaysia earlier this week has revealed that it will be releasing two more coloured gaming laptop into our market real soon. This time around, the base model is the larger size MSI GS70 Stealth Pro gaming notebook.
To be available as the Red and Silver Edition, it seems like there are some changes to the specifications as compared to the original MSI GS70 Stealth Pro that was released earlier this year. One of such changes is the switch from the 2.4GHz Intel Core i7-4700HQ to 2.5GHz Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor.
The upcoming GS70 Stealth Pro Red and Silver Edition also features Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Gigabit LAN components from the gaming oriented Killer series by Qualcomm Atheros; known as the Killer DoubleShot Pro. In the original GS70 Stealth Pro, only the LAN component was from Killer.
Other than that, both gaming laptops will also feature 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare display, GeForce GTX graphics card, up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, 768GB of M.2 SATA solid state drive connected in Super RAID 2 mode, 1TB 7200rpm hard drive, SteelSeries keyboard with customizable backlight colours, and built-in Dynaudio speakers with sub-woofer.
Despite being shown to the members of the media, MSI Malaysia somehow is keeping the price for both notebooks as a secret for the time being. According to the company, their price tag will only be revealed once both notebooks are ready to be released into our market sometime in October.
