As most of you will know, Xiaomi is holding a huge sale to celebrate MIUI’s fourth anniversary, offering discounts of various products and even offering a chance to win a brand new Mi 4 smartphone. But it appears that the company is ready to surprise its Mi Fans with the availability of a new product tomorrow: the Mi In-Ear Piston Earphones.
In fact, eagle-eyed readers will have already noticed that the earphone will be available as part of the Redmi 1S Music Bundle. But of course, many more would like to purchase the earphones only. A hidden promotional link – accessible here – shows that the Mi In Ear Piston Earphones will be available tomorrow, and priced at RM50.
Currently, it is not confirmed if the earphones offered tomorrow will be the Piston v2.0 or the newer v2.1, but both are essentially the same. For those looking to grab the limited edition silver-coloured iF variants, which was sold in Singapore recently, well, they’re no longer available anywhere.
So what’s the big deal over these headphones anyway? Like other Xiaomi products, the Mi In-Ear Pistons belie its RM50 retail price, offering audio quality that is comparable to earphones that are a lot more expensive from other established audio brands. The earpieces and remote controls are all encased in aluminium, while the cords are braided in Kevlar for an anti-tangle finish.
Finally, do note that based on the hidden link, the Pistons would be available at the first round of the flash sale, which starts from 10am. For more information on the Mi In-Ear Piston Earphones, check out the official Xiaomi product page here.
