Now that Apple has finally announced its event for 9 September 2014, are you excited to see what the company has got to offer? Over the past couple of days, rumors and leaks about the iPhone 6 have been making their way around the internet including NFC chip, components and more importantly, the price.
First up, both the 4.7” and 5.5” iPhone 6 are rumored to come with NFC on board. Multiple sources have already pointed out that Apple will finally be including an NFC chip into its next iPhones, which will be used to push its mobile payment capability. Last week, a Chinese repair firm, GeekBar, shared a schematic for the iPhone 6, showing where the NFC chip would go, and now, Wired is too saying that the iPhone 6 will come with NFC and will also have a new mobile payment system.

Next up, in case you haven’t seen enough iPhone 6 components yet, here are more pictures to show off the home button, a back logo, and the speaker and vibrator motor. First shared on Nowhereelse.fr, according to the SIM trays, it looks like the iPhone 6 will also come in 3 color options – silver, gray and gold.
The back logo of the iPhone 6 was rumored to be scratch-resistant but according to Nowhereelse, the logo scratches under regular pressure with a knife.
For a little peep on the inside, Nowhereelse also showed off the internal speaker and vibrator motor of the iPhone 6, which appears to be different from the ones found on the iPhone 5s.
The internal speaker appears to be larger than the one in iPhone 5s, and the vibrator motor now sports a rectangular design
Finally, if you’re curious about how the iPhone 6 will be priced (who isn’t, right?), according to sources of a regional telco in Spain, Telefonica, the iPhone 6 will start with a price of USD$750. The telco reports that the iPhone 6 will start with a price of €750 but since they usually don’t convert Euro pricing for iPhones, it can be assumed that €750 is equivalent to $750 (about RM2,366). This rumor is in line with previous rumor that says that the iPhone 6 will be USD$100 more expensive than the iPhone 5s, which starts from USD$650.
As for the phablet, get ready to be blown off your seats because Telefonica says that the 5.5” iPhone will start from a whopping €950. Even if you don’t convert and take the price as USD$950, that’s almost RM3,000.
Are you excited to see what Apple has got to offer or are you disappointed because of the price?
