IFA 2014 will be happening in about 3 week’s time and while we’re all expecting Samsung to unveil its next generation Galaxy Note smartphone – Samsung Galaxy Note 4, it looks like the Korean company will also show off its virtual reality headset codenamed “Project Moonlight”.
TheVerge recently posted several images showing off the Project Moonlight that looks somewhat similar to Google’s cardboard. Users will have to dock a smartphone into the headset to use it as the display – just connect the phone onto the Micro USB port on the headset and hold it in place using a lid. The focal can then be changed using a big dial located right above the eyepieces. The Samsung VR headset is photographed next to a Samsung Galaxy S5 but since it is expected to be announced together with the Galaxy Note 4, it makes sense that the VR headset should support the upcoming phablet from the company as well.
Samsung is expected to unveil the VR headset at its upcoming Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 happening in Berlin, Germany on 3 September 2014. We’ll be there on ground to cover the entire show so do tune in because we’ll keep you updated with latest news as and when we get them.
