Look at what HTC have in stored for its fans in China, the company just teased a device on its Weibo page, claiming that it will be the very first 8-core 64-bit smartphone in the market.
The teaser that was shared not too long ago shows off the side of at two-tone device and what looks like a pretty huge front-facing camera. The image is accompanied with some Chinese text that reads “the world’s first eight-core 64-bit phone”, along with a date for 4 September – an IFA 2014 revelation from the Taiwanese company?
Despite having 64-bits, the device is believed to be a mid-range Android smartphone that is powered by a Qualcomm chipset. According to GSMArena, the device might be called the HTC Desire 820, and should be powered by a Snapdragon 615 processor that has eight Cortex-A53 cores (the 64-bit replacement of the Cortex-A7), along with the next generation Adreno 405 GPU.
No further information have been given, the date suggests that it should be something the company will be announcing during the whole IFA 2014 frenzy, but we’re not quite sure if they will reveal it in Berlin, Germany, or will the company have something even more exciting for us.
With more and more devices being leaked and teased for IFA 2014, are you excited yet?
