Activision and Sledgehammer Games have revealed a multiplayer trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare title. The three minute video demonstrates a variety of futuristic weapons, armour, and technology; all of which is supposed to represent what Sledgehammer believes will be the part of the soldier of the future.
Titanfall’s influence was not missed as players will be treated to an extremely fast paced shooter that provides large amounts of mobility. Not to mention the inclusion of a jump pack for screaming across the battlefield. Additional equipment like shields, cloaking technology, and even a hover option for the rocket pack will provide look to provide a dynamic experience for players to run around and shoot each other. Unfortunately, there will be no wall runs like in EA’s mecha infused shooter; although there appears to be the option to enter vehicles and turrets to rain death on unsuspecting enemies.
The next installment of CoD looks to be trying something different with the franchise. Up to the point of even including Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey as the primary antagonist. Despite this, the main draw is the exo-suit; from which all the player’s upgrades draw their power, and is what provides these supposed humans with increased speed and agility (they still die horrible to a well placed shot though).
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is due out in November of 2014.
