Taiwanese giants ASUS has seemingly confirmed that it will be announcing its first smartwatch at IFA 2014 next month. The company has released a teaser image of what appears to be a smartwatch, with a bold statement that reads, “Time has been transformed and we have changed”.
This appears to have come out of nowhere, as there has been few rumours of ASUS working on a smartwatch. But TechCrunch claims that the ASUS smartwatch will feature an AMOLED display, and could be priced between US$99 to US$149 – a lot lower than the Android Wear devices. While the teaser does not mention it, it is highly likely that the ASUS smartwatch will be powered by Android Wear, as Google makes Android Wear increasingly more compelling for users.

The ASUS smartwatch will likely be among a slew of devices to be announced by the Taiwanese company at next month’s IFA. Last year, the company showed off plenty of tablets, a budget laptop, a high-end laptop, and two phablets.
