Just before Microsoft fully made Nokia Devices and Services division as its own, the Finnish outfit managed to churn out something that is quite unusual for a company that is committed to Windows Phone ecosystem: the Android-based Nokia X family of devices.
Surprisingly, it looks like Microsoft is keen with the idea after all as just mere moments ago, Microsoft Mobile has unveiled the follow to the Nokia X. So, say hello to the new Nokia X2.
Built with 4.3-inch 800×480 ClearBlack LCD display, the new Nokia X2 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor. The dual-SIM smartphone is also equipped with 1GB of RAM, 4GB worth of internal storage and the support for MicroSD card with storage of up to 32GB.

The Nokia X2 also comes together with a 5-megapixels auto-focus camera and LED flash on its back together with a VGA front-facing camera. According to the official specs, the new Nokia X2 also features an updated version of the Nokia X software platform.
To be available in select markets throughout the world starting from this July, the new Nokia X2 carries a price tag of EUR 99 (RM 434) which is EUR 10 higher than the original Nokia X. Chances are, the price for Malaysia will be different but of course, let’s see if Microsoft will first include Malaysia as part of the said select markets.
