Android TV is Google latest initiative to expand its horizon into user’s living room. Believe it or not, among the early adopters of Android TV is the famed gaming peripherals maker, Razer.
Tapping all the experience that the company has gained from building high-performance gaming peripherals and systems for the longest time, the upcoming Razer micro-console is designed to provide large-screen entertainment such as movie and music streaming which is why Android TV platform fits the bill. That being said, the company claims that gaming is still a huge focus on the new micro console.
In addition to the contents, Android TV platform gives Razer micro-console a number of native features such as remote access via Android-based devices and voice control. At the moment, details regarding the console is still rather scarce as no specs or pricing has been released but the Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan has stated that it will be “an affordable system”.
Meanwhile, you can expect to see the new Razer micro console powered by Android TV coming your way towards Q4 of 2014.
