Traditionally, Computex is not the ground for Dell. However, that changes this year though as Dell has unveiled plenty of new products including Android tablets as well as Windows 8.1 2-in-1 devices and All-In-One PCs just a few hours ago.
First in the list is the updated Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets. Now featuring Intel Merrifield processors (Intel Atom Z3460 for Venue 7 and Intel Atom Z3480 for Venue 8), Dell claimed that both tablets are also lighter than thinner than their predecessors, although the company didn’t provide us with the exact specs.
Other than that, the Venue 7 also features a HD display while the bigger Venue 8 is equipped with a full HD display. In addition to audio enhancements by Waves MAXXAudioPro technology, both tablets also comes standard with Android 4.4 KitKat. Not to forget, they also feature a texturized back to make them easier to grip.
Moving on, Dell has also unveiled the new 2-in-1 models for the Inspiron 11 3000 and Inspiron 13 7000 family of notebooks. The main highlight of both models is their hinge design that is 360-degrees rotatable, allowing both devices to be positioned in laptop, easel, tent, and tablet configurations. Yup, just like the Lenovo Yoga series.
The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 comes with up to Intel Pentium quad-core processor, 11-inch touch display, 500GB hard drive, and Waves MAXXAudio technology. Dell also claimed that this particular device has a battery life of up to 8hours 18 minutes. As for the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Series, it features a 13.3-inch display with up to Full HD resolution together with 4th generation Intel Core processors and built-in passive stylus for note-taking or for drawings. To sweeten the package, both of these 2-in-1s comes with complimentary 20GB Dropbox storage.
The final product in the list is the Dell Inspiron 20 3000 series All-in-One PC which features a 19.5-inch display and an integrated sub-woofer. To be available with up to Intel Pentium quad-core processor, Dell claimed that the AIO is light enough to be moved around whenever the need arises.
It is also equipped with an adjustable A-frame stand that allows users to even lay it down just like a tablet. Just like other new devices that Dell has unveiled today, this AIO also features Waves MAXX Audio enhancements.
Among all these devices, the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 notebook will be the first to be released into the market; starting from 19 June for USD 449.99 onwards. It will be then followed by Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets which will be released from 1 July onwards with a starting price of USD 159.99 and USD 199.99 respectively. The Inspiron 20 3000 Series AIO will also follow suit on 1 July but it is apparently already available in certain countries with a starting price of USD 349.99
Last but not least, the Inspiron 13 7000 series will be out sometime in September. Do note that the exact release date for Malaysia as well as pricing are not know yet at the moment.
