Asus kicked off its Computex 2014 show by announcing the Zenbook NX500, a 15.6-inch Ultrabook that makes one wonder how they managed to cram everything into it. The NX500 packs an Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GTX 850 discrete GPU and a 4K display into an impressively thin 19mm frame that weighs just 2.2kg.
There isn’t much else to go on, but the NX500 looks to be a solid competitor for anything on the market. With that kind of power under it, the Zenbook appears to be aimed at creative professionals who need a mobile workstation. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if some gamers take to it just to get the larger 4K display and calling it a Razer Blade alternative.
Asus has no released any information about pricing or availability date at the time of writing, but we’ll update the post if more information becomes available..
