Xiaomi Malaysia has just announced that it will be bringing in a second batch of Mi 3 – with a total of 6,000 units this time – as early as next week, in a departure away from what it has done in Singapore. This is surely bad news for the many, many scalpers looking for a quick buck after attempting to sell the Mi 3 for as high as RM1400.
The Xiaomi Mi 3 took 17 minutes to sell out the initial 4,000 units that were allocated in the sales earlier today. In fact, Xiaomi also offered a bundle with the RM889 Mi 3, offering a protective case and screen protector for RM925, a savings of RM10. Interestingly, it was the Mi Power Bank that sold out much quicker – taking up less than half the time to sell out all 5,000 units that were allocated.
Unfortunately, those who missed out on the Mi Power Bank today may have to wait a little longer. This second batch of sales is seemingly only reserved for the Mi 3, and Xiaomi Malaysia has not yet confirmed if more stocks of the Mi Power Bank are on their way for the May 27 batch. But on the other hand, Xiaomi has also not confirmed that the Mi Power Bank will not be coming in the second batch.
