It has been almost two years since Far Cry 3 was released into the market and you been wondering if the series still have more adventures for gamers to go through…well, the answer is yes. Ubisoft earlier today has announced that Far Cry 4 will be meeting gamers later this year.
By later this year, we mean in November. Specifically, the game will be released for US market on 18 November while EMEA markets will receive the game on 20 November. Available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC, Far Cry 4 will bring gamers to Himalayas instead as opposed to Far Cry 3 which was was set in a tropical island.
This is how Ubisoft described the game’s storyline:
Taking a sharp turn away from the lush island jungles of the top-rated Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 is set in Kyrat, an untamed region currently ruled by a despotic self-appointed king. But don’t be lulled into a false sense of security by the achingly beautiful views; Kyrat is a wild land full of perils. Once again, players will be able to craft their own stories as they travel through this exotic open world teeming with wildlife – using their wits along with an assortment of powerful weapons and diverse vehicles.
The development of the Far Cry 4 is apparently led by Ubisoft Montreal together with the help of Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Kiev. We should able to see more from the game next month as Ubisoft has promised to show it at the company’s E3 press briefing.
Meanwhile, local netizens has pointed out that one of the character on the FarCry 4 cover looks like a local celebrity. By celebrity, we mean the one and only Chef Wan. What do you think so?
I think it’s almost spot on.
