Since it caught us by surprise by announcing its arrival in Malaysia in the same week as per its product unveiling at CES 2013, Alcatel One Touch presence in our market is growing at a rapid rate. In its latest effort, the brand has opened its first concept store in Malaysia which is located at the ground floor of Plaza Low Yat, Kuala Lumpur.
The Plaza Low Yat concept store is only the beginning of Alcatel One Touch’s plan as the brand is aiming to open five more concept stores in Malaysia within 2014. While KL Kong, the Country Manager of the brand here in Malaysia has revealed that the second concept store will be at The Mines in Seri Kembangan, other branches are still under planning and might include East Malaysia as well.
Through these six concept stores, the brand aims to provide local consumers a set of dedicated destinations where they can have direct hands-on experience with Alcatel One Touch devices. At the same time, the brand has also revealed that they are working to increase the amount of Alcatel One Touch Authorized Service Centres from 11 (as of now) to 20 by year end.
All in all, the existence of these concept stores shows how ambitious Alcatel One Touch really is in growing its presences in our market. Well, the brand certainly can use higher level of consumer awareness especially when it will be rolling out new devices in the second half of 2014.
What? New devices? Yup. More information regarding that in the subsequent post, so stay tuned.
