Oppo Electronics Malaysia will be opening pre-orders for the new Find 7a (not the high-end Find 7 model) next week starting from April 16. The Snapdragon 800-toting smartphone is scheduled to officially be available in Malaysia on May 15, and will retail for a eye-wateringly low price of RM1598.
The pre-order campaign will run from April 16 up until May 11, and interested customers can visit any of these participating outlets around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to place an order. However, you’ll need to make a non-refundable deposit of RM100 to place an order. To sweeten the deal, the first 500 pre-orders will be receiving a “premium gift package”, consisting of a Bluetooth speaker, screen protector and a phone case which totals RM258.
It must also be noted that only the White version of the Find 7a is available for pre-order; it isn’t mentioned if the Midnight colourway will be available when it is officially launched.

To recap, the Oppo Find 7a is the lower-end variant (if you could call it that) of the company’s new flagship, the Find 7. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, and features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 16GB of expandable storage, 13MP f/2.0 rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, 2800mAh battery with Rapid Charge technology, 4K recording, MaxxAudio Enhancement Suite, and of course, LTE support. It will run on the new ColorOS 1.2, which is based on Android 4.3.
For now, there aren’t any online pre-orders available yet, though we might have something to announce next week. Stay tuned!
