At Sony’s regional event to showcase its latest devices from MWC 2014, the company has also shared some information about the devices’ availability in Malaysia. Yup, the Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M2, Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony Smartwear and also the Xperia Z1 Compact will all be coming to Malaysia – and they’re all coming next month!
First up, the company’s latest flagship, the Xperia Z2, will be arriving in Malaysia on the first week of April. The Xperia Z2 will also be coming to all local operators, where it will be offered as a bundle alongside the respective telcos’ postpaid plans – perfect timing for DiGi’s new 4G LTE plans.
In that same week, Sony’s giant Xperia T2 Ultra will also make its way to Malaysia, though it is not yet known if the dual-SIM variant will also be available here. Sony’s sexy slim tablet, the Xperia Z2 Tablet, will also be arriving in that timeframe. In addition, Sony’s latest mid-range LTE smartphone, the Xperia M2, will be arriving on the second week of April to Malaysia, as well as the Smartwear range of health and fitness bands – the Core, Smartband and Lifelog app – will all be available in mid-April.
Finally, Sony’s got better news for those waiting for the tiny powerhouse, the Xperia Z1 Compact. The company states that the Z1 Compact will be available in Malaysia sometime between “mid-March to early April”, which if true, is only a few weeks away.
Of course, pricing information for all the devices mentioned above were not revealed, but with the official local launches expected to be mere weeks away, we won’t have to wait long.
In the meantime, check out our hands on and first impressions of some of the devices that will be available next month!
