DiGi has fired the first blood among the major local telcos, by opening its registration of interest (ROI) for the new Samsung Galaxy S5. Samsung’s flagship Android smartphone is said to be available in over 150 countries worldwide in April, and with DiGi’s ROI, it appears that Malaysia will be in this first batch of countries to receive the highly-anticipated Galaxy S5.
Unlike the previous ROI from DiGi for the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S5’s ROI does not reveal much information regarding the release of the device, nor of any pre-order details. What has been revealed, however, is that DiGi will be offering the Galaxy S5 in three colours: Charcoal Black, Shimmery White and Electric Blue – which you can see in our hands-on video below.
For now, there is also no word if DiGi will be offering a pre-order promotion for Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone. We will be monitoring DiGi and the other telco’s websites more closely for more information. In the meantime, check out our hands-on preview of the Galaxy S5 at its global launch in Barcelona just two weeks ago.
