It looks like there will be more than one variant of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 that was announced very early this morning. Samsung Mobile has just posted an infographic into its Samsung Tomorrow official blog, showing all the Samsung Galaxy S series of devices since its debut and listed in the Galaxy S5 section shows two different processors – the 2.5GHz Quad-Core one that we’ve heard, as well as a 2.1Ghz octa-core version.

As shown in the image, you can see the gradual updates the phone has received over the last 5 generations like bigger screen, better camera, bigger battery and more powerful processor. Don’t be too happy yet though, the octa-core Exynos Galaxy S5 might never leave its home country like the LTE-A version of the Galaxy S4 so this could be something tailored for limited markets only. Nonetheless, check out our hands on post on the Galaxy S5 as well as some image samples captured using the 16MP camera, showing off one of the many new features – Selective Focus.
Now I wonder where’s the Exynos Infinity processor the South Korean company teased last week…
