First introduced at IFA 2013 last September, the Alcatel One Touch Hero has recently made its way into our market. As you might able to recall, the Alcatel One Touch Hero is a 6-inch HD phablet that runs Android 4.2 and powered by 1.5GHz MT6589+ system-on-chip processor by MediaTek.
The device also features 2GB RAM and for Malaysian market, Alcatel One Touch decided to release the variant with 8GB internal storage instead of the 16GB model. We were told that the reason for this is because only the 8GB model comes with microSD card slot but not for 16GB variant. Out of those 8GB space, 5.6GB are accessible by users.
With a thickness of 8.5mm, the Alcatel One Touch Hero is also equipped with a 13-megapixels rear camera alongside a LED flash. At the same time, the selfie front-facing camera role is handled by a 2-megapixels sensor. Not to forget, the phablet also comes with built-in stylus.

Meanwhile, the Alcatel One Touch Hero also comes standard with two rather interesting accessories right inside its retail box. One being a Bluetooth-based mini phone companion called Alcatel One Touch Sidekick, as well as a flip cover designed exclusively for the device called MagicFlip which features LED lights on its front side that displays notifications and updates.
Altogether, the new Alcatel One Touch Hero is priced at RM 1399 and is readily available at retailers throughout the country right away. Additionally, all customers who purchased the device before end of February will also receive an additional cover for the device and a meal voucher while stocks last.
