The Lytro camera is possibly one of the greatest inventions in the tech world, giving consumers the ability to focus on an object only AFTER you take an image. The first device was launched in 2011, receiving a steady number of updates over the years, and it looks like things has just gotten a whole lot better. Lytro recently enabled a Wi-Fi connectivity that has been hidden in the cameras since day one.
With the “new” Wi-Fi feature, Lytro also announced an iOS app bringing the camera to a whole new level of usability. Users can utilize the iPhone’s data connection to upload full-res living photos to Lytro.com, or share them for the world to see as a GIF image on various social networks such as Facebook or Twitter. No news have been mentioned regarding an Android app, Lytro only said that according to surveys, majority of its users are iOS users, hence the choice of an iOS app.
If you’re a Lytro user, visit the App Store to download the app now.
