Be very afraid Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, it looks like your real contenders are on their way to the market. Not too long ago, images of the rumored Nokia EOS device was leaked, showing off its housing that is much slimmer than the S4 Zoom and just last week, Nokia announced a press event on 11 July, possibly to unveil the Nokia EOS. It doesn’t stop there, it looks like Sony too has got something pretty interesting up its sleeves too and no, we’re not talking about the rumored Xperia ZU phablet. According to a leaked teaser, it looks like Sony is ready to show off its camera phone called Honami.
Sony has been rumored to be working on a camera phone for quite some time now and PhoneArena yesterday found an image that is possible a teaser for one of Sony’s upcoming Xperia devices. While the picture shows nothing much except for a silhouette of a smartphone that looks like the Xperia Z and has glowing lights on the top and bottom, the file name sort of gives away what it could be – “honamiteaser”.
It’s a rumor of course, PhoneArena wrote that the image above could possibly be a fake, but if everything were true, the Honami camera phone from Sony has some very promising specification up its sleeves like a 5” full HD display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 20MP Cybershot camera with all Sony’s camera technologies such as Exmor sensor and Sony G lens, interchangeable lens, Xenon flash, and what I personally love most about the flagship Xperia smartphones now – water- and dust-proof.
Sony has a press event scheduled for 4 July 2013 in France so fingers crossed that the company will introduce the Honami on top of the Xperia Z Ultra phablet that has been brewing in the rumor mill for quite some time now.
