Warner Bros. has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming “Batman: Arkham Origins” title. Interestingly, the trailer does not really show off much in terms of gameplay, although those familiar with the other two Batman Arkham titles should be able to see some familiar combat maneuvers such as the Dive Bomb, on top of some intriguing new ones involving the Dark Knight’s arsenal of gadgets.
More importantly, the main storyline and the cast of villains appearing in this game are all but confirmed. From the trailer we can see that Black Mask is offering an immense amount of money to anyone who can remove the Batman’s heroics from continuously thwarting the criminals plaguing Gotham City. We also hear the new voice talent replacing Mark Hamill as the Joker: Troy Baker, who, interestingly enough, has also provided the voice for many other characters in the Batman universe in the past including, surprise surprise, Batman himself.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be released worldwide on October 25th, on the PC and every major current and next-gen console. Until then, feast your eyes on the trailer above.
