Ever had problems transferring files to your Facebook friends because there simply aren’t any ways to do it within the social network itself? No worries because Pipe, no it has nothing to do with Super Mario, will be launching in less than 5 hours (at the time of writing). Pipe is an app integrated with Facebook, which allows you to send files of up to 1GB to your friends simply by dragging and dropping.
Available worldwide via this link (https://www.facebook.com/pipe), Pipe is specially developed for Facebook users to transfer files to their friends, directly, with no server in between. It leverages on peer-to-peer connectivity between two computers when two people are online simultaneously so files can be sent directly – it’s faster, more secure and private because it does not go through a server. If your friend is offline, you can still send files over though, you will be limited to 100MB only.
Visit Pipe for more information or follow their Facebook page and try it out at launch.
