At the Foxconn press event at Computex 2013, the company has unveiled the first tablet running on Mozilla’s new Firefox OS. The two companies recently struck a partnership, with Foxconn to manufacture a device running on the Firefox OS platform.
Unfortunately, Foxconn did not reveal any additional information regarding the tablet – screen size, processor, nor connectivity options were disclosed. The Next Web reports that the tablet on display is a reference design for OEMs, where they will then decide on the final specs, and that Foxconn will remain a manufacturer and not a brand. The partnership with Mozilla, it was later revealed, was to optimally integrate Firefox OS with hardware.
