The first of what appears to be five devices that ASUS will be unveiling at next month’s Computex has been announced. The Taiwanese company has announced a new Ultrabook, called the ASUS Infinity Ultrabook, and it will be showcased next month at Computex.
Retaining the concentric circles design that has become iconic with ASUS, the Infinity Ultrabook shifts away from the norm by making the lid and keyboard surround out of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Corning’s patented glass material also sports Native Damage Resistance (NDR) which increases scratch resistance, reduces scratch visibility, and improves toughness.
Incredibly, the new Zenbook Infinity will also be only 15.5mm at its thickest point – 14% thinner than the previous generation Zenbook. This incredibly slim profile, coupled with the use of aluminium and glass, is sure to make the Zenbook Infinity Ultrabook one of the most highly desired products at next month’s Computex – and one we’ll definitely look forward to seeing.
